TELL YOUR IMPACT STORY

|| Develop Promotional Materials || Assess Reputation ||

Every organization has a story to tell, and we’re here to help you find yours. We work with you to clarify what makes your organization special and how best to communicate that to the world. Whether it’s crafting powerful messages, gathering stories from the people you’ve impacted, or creating clear and compelling materials for print and online, we’ve got you covered. We can look at how your organization is viewed by others—partners, funders, and even competitors—and help you craft a strategy to enhance your reputation, making sure your voice and perspective stand strong in the field.

DEFINING A NEW PRACTICE AREA

While working together at Third Sector Capital Partners, VIA’s Maria Posey and Miranda Beggin led the development of promotional and marketing materials for a new practice area focused on economic mobility. Some of the materials developed include:

Maria’s knack for marketing, branding and storytelling, meant that she was a key partner in developing the practice area’s promotional materials, making them crisp, clear, and compelling.

CURATING CAPABILITY STATEMENTS

While working at Winrock Internationa, VIA’s Founder Maria Posey developed 10+ capability statements to share with prospective partners in countries where Winrock sought to grow its presence. The capability statements took two forms: a two-page handout featuring pictures, approaches, and relevant projects; and a 3-5 page document with greater detail about Winrock’s understanding of the issues and proposed solutions. Some of the capability statements developed include:

  • Addressing Child Labor in Zambia

  • Countering Human Trafficking in Nepal

  • Facilitating Girls’ Education in Mali

  • Eradicating Gender-based Violence in Indonesia

Thanks to Maria, our group greatly improved our ability to capture and pursue competitive, federal projects. Articulating our value-add through strong capability statements was a key component of this work.
